The women walk for miles each
day to bring water to their families for cooking, drinking, and washing.
The containers weigh about 50 pounds. There are no vehicles and no roads
here. The people don't refer to distance in miles (or kilometers) but
rather in days....i.e. a 2 day walk, 3 day walk, etc. Many walk for
several days in order to obtain health care at the CMA clinic.
